Well, on Thursday, the secretary of son's school, called my husband at work, to tell him that our presence is wanted on Tuesday at the school yard because dear son was receiving an award, WOO-HOO! She wouldn't say anything else, and said to keep it a secret from son.
Husband and I kept giving each other knowing looks all throughout the weekend, LOL! But we made it through without telling anyone, which, if you knew my husband, not an easy feat:)
When son left this morning, I left behind him, he never looked back to see me about a block away. My husband, temporarily, left work and was meeting me there.
Well, the look on his face when he saw us, was so worth it! The principal called his name, and when he went up to get the certificate, my husband sprung out from the crowd to take his picture, with me right behind him. LOL! He had such a shocked look in his face!
DS volunteers his services a lot, at church and after school, so the award is for Christian Leadership...I"m very proud of him. I love you, son!
